Bright hot summer, dull wintry weather, clear spring mornings and hazy afternoons: it's all about the light!
In this two-day workshop we will investigate some watercolour processes, techniques, colours and mindset to better express the changing weather around us. We will explored the vitality and beauty of this versatile medium.
Suitable for all levels of experience.

Portrait Drawing Workshop
- at ACE Lismore
If we draw faces only from photos, our drawings will end up looking like … photos!. In this two-day portrait workshop, we will use the method of the Old Masters; drawing portrait heads from 3D plaster copies of sculptures from Ancient Greece and Rome, the Italian Renaissance and 19th Century France. To finish off we will do a portrait drawing from an actual model. All materials will be provided.

Watercolour: Black & White
Love colour? This course will help you control colour better by starting with just one colour: Black! In a few simple steps we will learn to simplify busy scenes and create stronger, dynamic pictures; explore ways to create beautiful effects of light and dark and develop fluid wash effects. Tutor demonstrations and practical exercises to develop your watercolour skills and confidence.
